The PAR can be completed online if the applicant:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is planning to visit or transit through HKSAR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning a stay less than 14 days in Hong Kong&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has a valid passport (at least 4 months to expiry from the date of entry)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has entered HKSAR on education or employment permit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In cases mentioned below an Indian national does not require PAR<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Official passport holders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diplomatic passport holders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HKSAR travel pass holders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holder of the UN Laissez Passers visiting or transiting HKSAR on official business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visiting HKSAR for education, employment, purchasing property, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Documents required for immigration to HKSAR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is important that the applicant is aware of the visa\/immigration requirements and meets the criteria before applying for the same. Correctly filling out the HKSAR visa application form for Indian Nationals is also very essential for a successful application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is a list of documents that are mandatory for all applicants, the documents may vary depending upon the type of visa being applied for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Passport with minimum 4 months validity remaining from the time of application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duly filled visa application form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 recent passport-sized photographs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airline (or any other transportation means) return tickets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documents proving financial status of the applicant; bank statements, salary slips, tax returns, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A detailed travel itinerary; accommodations, in-land transportation, tours, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Details of family members residing in HKSAR, including friends, relatives, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A sponsorship letter from HKSAR resident, firm, company, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full coverage travelers\u2019 insurance (highly recommended but not mandatory)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure for application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HKSAR has a streamlined immigration process, with each step requiring immaculate details and preparation. The first step is to register for the Pre-Arrival Registration for Indian nationals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.immd.gov.hk\/eng\/services\/visas\/pre-arrival_registration_for_indian_nationals.html\">here<\/a>. The PAR is free of charge; however, the applicant should have the documents handy before applying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gather all required documents (as listed above)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duly filling the visa form application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scheduling appointment at the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate office for submitting documents and biometric verifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paying the prescribed visa fee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Waiting patiently for 4 to 6 weeks for the process to complete<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The visa will be delivered at your address or you may be asked to collect it from Embassy where you applied<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The QMAS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2006, the Chinese government has introduced the \u201cQuality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS)\u201d that follows a point-based immigration scheme for all applicants.
