What is the EU Blue Card?<\/strong>

If persons from third-world countries want to get a job in the EU, they need a residence permit, which is called the EU Blue Card. Not only the person is allowed to work, but the card even grants benefits and securities.

A person has is a university graduate or who has a comparable qualification can receive a residence title for the purpose of working in the EU, and the EU Blue Card enables that. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EU Blue cardholders can bring their partner, spouse, child and other relatives that are dependent on them. Cardholder sponsors all family members permits. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the application is approved, the card is valid from 1 to 4 years, and it depends on the applicants\u2019 work contract. The card can be renewed. After living for two years in an EU cardholder is entitled to the same rights as citizens.

Can everyone apply for Blue Card?<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately only highly qualified workers and researchers from non-EU countries can apply. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants need to provide proof that they have graduated from university. Applicants need to submit a job offer or an employment contract. In order to receive the Blue Card, applicants must be highly paid.

How people can apply for the card?<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can apply for the EU Blue Card in all member states of the EU, but not Denmark, Ireland and the United Kingdom. You should file applications at the Foreigner\u2019s Office in the respective country. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application needs to be filled by you, your employer or law firm. 140 euros cost the application fee for issuance. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other benefits of the card<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The card allows holders o travel back to their country for up to one year. The cardholders can travel to other countries in the Schengen States for up to 90 days as a tourist. People who have had a Blue Card for 18 months can apply for a card of another state. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a Blue Card you can apply for family reunification, and spouses might be granted a residence permit even if they do not have any knowledge of the language. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Blue Cardholder can apply for permanent residency in the EU country after a certain amount of time. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The card can be taken away if certain criteria are not met – if there is a lack of qualified workers in your country. If your employer took part in fraudulent action, your document is considered false. For reasons of public policy or public security. If you no longer meet the required conditions. Or if there is someone else who can take your place.
