Ambassador

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary posted to Germany at the Republic of Turkey embassy is His Excellency (H.E.) Mr. Ali Kemal Aydın

From 2013 he was Deputy Secretary of State for Political Relations responsible for Eurasia and Africa as well as for cultural and public relations. On 15 November 2016, he began serving as Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in the Federal Republic of Germany.

After serving as Consul General in Aleppo from 2005 to 2009, he served two years as Deputy Director-General for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was appointed Ambassador to Libya in 2011 and represented the Republic of Turkey until 2013.

He studied International Relations at the prestigious Faculty of Political Science of the University of Ankara. After graduating in 1986, he entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey in the same year. Between 1986 and 2005 he worked abroad at the Embassy in Tirana, at the Consulate General in Mainz, at the Consulate General in Nuremberg, at the Embassy in Bonn and at the Embassy in Pretoria. During this time he also exercised various political and administrative tasks in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
