Who needs a work permit?

If you are an EU citizen, you don’t need a work permit to work anywhere in the EU. Work permits will never be required for self-employed people in the EU.

If you are a non-EU national, you have the right to work in the EU and to be treated equally with EU nationals about work conditions. 

Work permit for other nationalities.

If you are a Turkish national, your rights to move and work in the EU depend entirely on the national rules of your host EU country. When you employe legally in the EU, you enjoy the same working conditions as the nationals of that country. 

You have rights as – after one year working legally, you have the right to a renewal of your work permit for the same employer. When you already worked for three years, you may change employers and you can respond to any other employment offer within the same professional qualification. 

After four years of legal employment, you enjoy full access to any paid employment in that EU country. 

Working in Europe. 

Anyone who meets the requirements and criteria set by European countries can work in the EU. 

If you want to get a Schengen work visa, you can’t, because it doesn’t exist. Schengen visa can be used for other purposes, but you can’t get it for work in Europe. You are not permitted to work while holding a Schengen visa while you use it for other purposes. 

The employment visa programs in the European countries have been established to cover the labor needs of the respective countries and fill job storages. 

There are some requirements in order for you to get the European Work Visa. You need to have application form, two identical photos of you, passport that is valid, round trip flight reservation, travel medical insurance, proof of accommodation, employment contract, proof that you have graduated from university and proof that you have required language knowledge.
