Ambassador

His Excellency Ali Abdulla Al Ahmed arrived in Berlin to take up his appointment as Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Germany and non-resident Ambassador to Croatia in May 2016.

Prior to his diplomatic posting to European nation, Ambassador Ali Al Ahmed was the Director of the European Affairs Department in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs looking after bilateral relations between the UAE and the different European countries. Before connexion the Ministry, he held major positions in the field of Media and Communications. He was the Chief designing and Strategy Officer to Etisalat, the biggest telecommunication company in the UAE, which operates in 19 countries with more than 185 million customers. In this position, he supported the company's strategic development to enter other markets in Africa and Asia.

Furthermore, His Excellency assumed responsibility for the Emirates Media's bouquet of television channels across the genre of news, sport, and entertainment as the Director of Abu Dhabi Television. In this perform, he also looked after the opening and operations of news bureaus during the coverage of the Iraq war in 2003.

H.E Ali Al Ahmed graduated from the jap Washington University within the us of America in 1990 within the field of Business Administration. Subsequently, he received his academic degree in ways and Security Studies from the UAE National Defense school in 2014.
