Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary posted to Chechia at the Kingdom of Thailand embassy is His Excellency (H.E.) Mr. Narong Sasitorn
Ambassador Narong Sasitorn is a career diplomat. Before his assignment in Prague, he served in various offices in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok, Thailand.
He was Consul General of Thailand in Chicago (in 2007 - 2012). He was appointed a Director General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs in 2012 and was later promoted to become a Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs in charge of bilateral affairs in 2013.
Previously he also was working Director of East Asian Affairs, Director of Personnel and Director of Policy and Planning. Narong Sasitorn served as a Second Secretary in the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations in New York in 1987-1991 period. In 1994-1997 he was assigned to the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China.

The good friendship relationships of between Thailand and the Czech Republic are deep rooted. In 2013-2014 celebrated the 40th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries.
