About the embassy

As the bilateral Embassy accredited to France, we are working closely with the host government and society to promote all aspects of our relations with France, including but not limited to promoting exchange of visits and interactions at high political levels; facilitating travel, trade, investment, cultural exchange, and people-to-people contact between our two countries; providing consular services to visitors and businessmen from France as well as our nationals living in France; and projecting a positive image of Bangladesh in this country.

As the Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, we engage with this important UN Agency to contribute to its norm-setting works related to universal quality education, promotion of multiculturalism and multilingualism, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, and the use of scientific knowledge to fight climate change and preserve bio-diversity. UNESCO also serves as an important global platform for the promotion of Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage.
